Launched in December 2015, the Connect initiative was established to bridge the gap between prominent Iranian experts residing abroad and domestic scientific and technological institutions. The primary objective of Connect was to create a streamlined mechanism for leveraging the expertise of Iranian elites.

Key challenges faced by Iranian elites interested in collaborating with their home country included ambiguous connections with domestic institutions, unfamiliarity with Iran's scientific landscape, bureaucratic obstacles, and practical concerns such as livelihood and military service obligations. Connect effectively addressed these challenges by establishing a rapid communication channel between Iranian specialists and over 100 scientific and technological centers within 25 working days.

Connect facilitated the transfer of skills, methodologies, and innovative capabilities to Iran by providing a clear pathway for collaboration and introducing elites to relevant domestic institutions. To further enhance its impact, the Connect Plus initiative was introduced, focusing on improvements in facilities and services, as well as the development of Connect Doc, a comprehensive specialist resume system.

Connect Doc addresses the challenges associated with identifying top talent for technology development and industrial challenges. By offering a platform for elites to showcase their resumes and for organizations to search for expertise, Connect Doc aims to foster collaborations and accelerate Iran's progress in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Connect Doc is accessible exclusively to verified organizations, allowing users to search among highly qualified elites by major, keyword, or job position.
